I would love to see him in Wrigley.

I think the Yankees would too to rid themselves of an extra 25 mil per year.

BTW- Can't Jeter opt out after this coming season? Will he fetch old A-Rod money......25 mil? I think he's making like 19 now.

I don't know if A-Rod will fetch old A-Rod money at this point.

What's a NON ECONOMIC discussion? Because Boras has obviously held those. And a discussion infers 2 parties contributing, Boras hasn't denied giving other teams terms of renumeration without asking for a reply, yet.

Giants need him (as a Bonds HR and attendance replacement).

Bonds to bat cleanup for the Yankees and ARod bats cleanup for the Giants?

For the Yankees it doesn't make perfect sense you'd have :
    Damon L
    Jeter R
    Abreau L
    Bonds L
    Matsui L
    Posada S
    Cano L
    Giambi L

    Not enough right handed hitting?

I don't believe that. I think he was in talks with the Dodgers before the end of the Series.

Jeter will not opt out of a contract with the Yankees and risk soiling his precious name. And I think that's a good thing. Jeter wants to retire as a Yankee, and that's a rare commodity -- playing an entire career with one team. Besides, he's wearing No. 2 so it can be retired with Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 8, 9 and 10. He's not going to risk his legacy not. Not a chance.

The Yankees won't let it happen, either.

While the numbers baffle me, I don't have a hard time believing that Boras and A-Rod would seek upwards of $350 million. I could swear at one point several weeks ago I heard a radio interview in which Boras intimated that A-Rod's value could be estimated between $500 million and $1 billion over the next 10 years.

No... way... Jeter ever plays for anyone else.

Beef, I believe you are correct on Zambrano. The rumor was the deal was done, but delayed when the team was put up for sale. He ended up signing the new deal well after the sale was announced.

How can you do this poll without listing the Giants and Cubs?

I would assume the Angels are the favorites...
