12 birdies and one eagle on a par-71 course, his home track. More than 6,600 yards long. And the kid can play. He's headed for Alabama.

    BTW: He missed a 15-footer on No. 18 for a 56.

Haven't seen him play, but I have the other two kids mentioned and they can rock it.

Whew. Based on the thread title I figured the kid had to be using a semi-automatic - and even then reload at least twice.

I think this is the same kid who won the Class 4A state championship ... as an 8th-grader.

It is Pencil. He has been playing like this for years. Kid's amazing.

Wasn't thinking quite as morbid, but more along the lines of 57 what? Deer, pheasant, etc....

What's the over/under on how long before people start saying he's going to break Tiger Woods' record for career majors (we all know Tiger will have the record, right?) How about the over/under on Tiger's record for women?

    Not that good.
    I just shot a 49 at Oakmont.
Oh - he was playing real golf? Holy shit.

    You're a cynical person, aren't you?

Not cynical. Just a comment on what passes for journalism these days.
