Gambling is wrong. Well, unless you're in another state.

I mean, the governor doesn’t 't want gambling in Alabama. Why would he?

If anyone sees the governor’s viewpoint on gambling as hypocritical, well, they should be quiet.

Did you ignore the fact that the person who stands to gain most from the illegal gambling in Alabama, Milton McGregor, claims to have had a private investigator follow him for a reason?
McGregor is one of the two most dangerous and slimy bastards in Alabama (No, Saban isn't the other; Paul Hubbert, head of the Teacher's Union is). McGregor wants the status quo so he can profit and not have to worry about things like legal payouts on electronic bingo games (RE: Slots).
I'm all for gambling in this state -- give me a lottery, casinos, something; and am tired of the Christian Right foisting their morality on me. But not so fucktards like McGregor can benefit.

I don't know that $2,300 qualifies as a "jackpot" for an upper-level state bureaucrat, but it's certainly funny that it happened ...

I was more focusing on the hypocrisy of David Barber and the governor.

Plus, this statement makes Barber look like a tool. Taken from the first article I quoted...

It seems like he can’t even see the hypocrisy of his own actions.

Sure. First time he ever gambled he won $2,300!

    If he's anti-gambling, he shouldn't gamble. Simple.

    Hypocrite. Fuck him.

Hell, he was probably on the Mississippi casino's payroll already. They're the ones bankrolling efforts against legalized gambling in other surrounding states.
