Yankees, and A-Rod finally has the type of October that most men only dream about.

Tough one. I was going back forth on Cleveland and Anaheim but went with the Indians. Carmona and Sabathia are two almost-automatic wins.

One blown save can cost you a playoff series and the Indians closer is...

    Joe Borowski.

In playoff baseball, son, nothing's almost-automatic, or the Braves would've won 9 World Series titles during their span of 14 straight playoff appearances.

Ugh, I'm amazed teams with former Cub shits Borowski and Flash Gordon/Alfonseca are in the postseason.

Cleveland and Philly are certainly going to be trendy picks based on how hot they've been down the stretch.

But they both have weaknesses in the pen. And the back end of Philly's rotation is sketchy at best.

I think the Red Sox have the best pitching -- and best power pitching -- so they're my pick. Not that they haven't had their problems, as well. Would have been nice to use Buccholz as a setup guy.

I picked the Indians but only for good karma/wishful thinking reasons.
