Longoria is number 1 by far.
I don't think Ellsbury is worthy of being No. 2.

Joba needs some consideration as well, so does Murphy.

    Longoria, Joba, Murphy

  3. the way ellsbury nosedived in june and july, i'd be surprised if he is on the top three or even five of anyone's ballot.

    This would be mine.

Though, what happens down the stretch may play into this to a degree.

Edit: And I don't think that'll help Joba.

He's come back nicely as of late, however.

    Yep.

He's seemed to get over that tough middle part of the season all rooks have.

Though, is he stealing bases like he was at the beginning? I honestly haven't paid attention.

Ellsbury had 2 on Aug. 5 and another on Aug. 10, they are the first attempts since Jose Molina got him in three straight games.

    He's 15-39 (.385) since July 27.

I'm not being a dick here, but wow.

I heard he didn't try and steal as much after that Yankees series, but that shocks me. They said his confidence was shot, but I didn't think he'd struggle that much.

Shit, the next time the Yanks and Red Sox meet I'm sure he will steal 10 bases in the first two games with Pudge catching.

EDIT for fun with quotes: For one, he never got on base after that series and when he did he acted like a puppy with a short leash.

The only way it's not Longoria is if he's out until mid-September or completely tails off.

    I think that's right.
