If he had any run support, he'd have 17 or 18 wins. He's been pretty damn good. Still, I voted for Pedroia.

Batting average aside, his numbers are good.

He can't be as bad as the 3B the Brewers have in High-A Brevard County. Mat Gamel (yes, he spells his name with one "T") has a minor league-leading 53 ERRORS through 126 games in the FSL. Over 162 games, that comes out to just a hair over 68 errors. Good lord, I can't remember such an awful stat.

Brian Bannister is throwing another gem. He's about to improve to 12-7 with an ERA around 3.10

No way this guy's not the best rookie in the American League this year.

And don't forget -- for most of the season he led the league in least run support.

  7. Isn't he hitting around .240?

The ballot now contains language that specifically says that players from foreign leagues are rookies. If you chose not to consider them based on your disagreement with that statement, you are essentially ignoring the rules IMO.

After a 1-for-4 performance today, Young is hitting .236. That will be what keeps him from getting the award. Well, that and Braun.

Foreig league players and rules governing them have been a joke.

If you play in Cuba, Japan or Timbuktu and want to play in the major leagues, then you should be put into the major league draft. None of this, "I only want to play for Dodgers or Yankees" crap.

And if you're drafted, you play for who drafts you. None of this, "There are no (fill in the blank)men in (fill in the blank).

  11. Lemme get this straight. They have the same number of homers and Braun is hitting 94 points higher, and some people think Young should by ROY?

    This a joke, right?

Sadly, no. It's been an argument.
