From what I'm hearing, Miguel Cabrera got the other first.

Stray votes went to (some of these are great): Polanco, Cuddyer, Kubel, Kinsler, Felix Hernandez

Miguel Cabrera with the other first-place vote. He finished fourth in the voting behind Mauer, Mark Teixeira and Derek Jeter.

Mauer must have stolen the Punto votes.

Mauer got so many better pitches to hit because Punto was protecting him the in the batting order.

    You cannot forget that.

I knew I liked you for a reason. It was a stroke of genius by Gardy to put Punto in the 9-spot to protect Mauer. Not many managers think outside the box like that.

Or they were forced to pitch to Mauer the second time through the order because Punto lives in scoring position.

Jeter was robbed. Good thing he doesn't care about individual awards and only cares about winning...

That is certainly the case when IJAG is around...

You know, I did set that up on a tee for her.

1st prize may be a Cadilac, 2nd prize may be a set of steak knives.
    I'll take what Jeter gets:
