    I might have voted for Cano because of the time Hamilton missed, but Hamilton was pretty amazing during the time he did play.

    Another correct choice.

    Halladay, Hernandez, Votto, Hamilton ... the writers batted 1.000.

    I would of been happy with either Hamilton or Cabrera.

    I'm sure Hamilton is extremely happy with this award, he had to battle through a lot to even start playing in the Majors again.

    Would have voted for Cabrera. Hamilton was great and is a fine choice, but he missed a month and played in an extremely favorable hitters park.

    For what it's worth: Hamilton batted .500 in Detroit this year.

    Congrats to Hamilton. That might be your SI Sportsman of the Year.
