    Surprised this story has not hit The Post in a big way. If it were the Mets story would have been everywhere.

    The way he's performed at times this season has been a black eye on the twirling profession.

    Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun said that Burnett is a .500 pitcher - - a guy with .750 stuff and a .250 brain.

    Good line under any circumstances. Now...

    the line would be better if it hadn't been lifted/paraphrased from "bull durham"

    I don't recall that line from Bull Durham at all. Crash talked about Nook having a million dollar arm and a 10 cent head. But never .750 stuff and a .250 brain.
