Indeed it is. How long before this one gets locked, too?

What's the over-under on the number of hours before it is decided?

"Canceled" is probably the right word. The teams don't have any common open dates the rest of the season unless Air Force wants to take itself out of consideration for a spot in the MWC championship game on December 7.

None of the service academies had to cancel games during the Clinton-era shutdown so it seems a bit odd they would have to this time around.

The Lincoln Memorial wasn't barricaded during the 1995 shutdown either.

It seems pretty clear that they're doing things, like locking folks out of open air memorials, including the Vietnam and WWII memorials, that they're trying to make this as publicly painful as possible.

The sequester -- even with the WH tour cancellations -- didn't cause the dire problems predicted.

So, now we have to cancel football games and lock 90-year-old vets out of the memorial, built in their honor.

Manhattanville SID having a little fun over the Merchant Marine Academy having to cancel a soccer game due to the shutdown.

The lack of response to these pr stunts show that most of the public don't care
and are paying little attention to what is going on in Washington. Staying off
the grid keeps you from being a pawn to politics.

The Sequester had dire predictions and has been a non event. Chicken Little
    comes to mind.

While the NYT has had above the fold stories daily The NYP has had little which to me
    is the right call.

I truly believe that the administration is happy with shutdown because it deflects attention
from the other big event that took place yesterday.

No, this isn't a political discussion. Not at all. ::)

How the eff can you have a discussion about game being canceled without somehow talking about the politics of it. To do so otherwise would leave out a huge missing piece.

Certainly the cancellation of a televised D1 football game is appropriate topic for
    SJ.

I've read that they likely will play it Dec. 7. Air Force is already 0-4 in the MWC. They pretty much have zero shot at the conference title game.

And as usual, we see who is trying to evade the ban.
