My wife's shop (and my old one) - and for that matter, the entire small chain - was just acquired by AIM Media, which publishes the Brownsville Herald in Texas.

Anything I should know about the company? The old company had been a pretty good family-owned company that has been good to myself & my family, but also tended to be really loyal to publishers/editors who have a penchant for excessive micromanagement.
