Yep, and he probably wouldn't have made the HOF without it. He and Iverson are fairly similar cases.

I disagree there. Bob McAdoo was a helluva player, especially in his days with the Buffalo Braves. He was a no doubt Hall of Famer.

  3. as was iverson. you can make the argument that no little man in the history of the game, archibald included, scored as easily as Iverson

Calvin Murphy even scored with his daughters.

You can't compare Tiny, in his prime, to AI. Tiny was more of a complete player and he made other players around him better. AI is a great scorer but he couldn't lead anyone to anything except failure. He thinks too much of himself. Tiny thought of his team, and himself. AI is still doing the same stuff he did back in the day. He hasn't learned how to modify his game. Tiny, especially after his Achilles' heel injury, did modify his game.

PLEASE let him go to the Mavs. I REALLY want this to happen.

McAdoo last played in the NBA in 1986, and was elected to the HOF in 2000. Obviously it took the voters a long long time to make up their minds whether he deserved to get in or not. Being a productive player for a Lakers title team in his last couple of NBA seasons probably made a huge difference. He was indeed a great player, but he had mostly pissed it away with his mid-career problems. AI could be veering into the same territory.

I think he makes the HOF. 27 points, 6 assists, two steals and 3.7 rebounds for his career. Had a stretch there where he was one of the best players in the league and never really had the personnel around him to win it all.

Shocked there's even a debate about Iverson in Hall. Lock to get in eventually.
