Agate question on deadline

Quick question since I'm on deadline ....

How does everyone list negative yardage in the agate? For instance, do you do:
    Rushes-yards 1-(-1)
    Rushes-yards 1-(minus-1)
    Rushes-yards 1-minus-1
    Rushes-yards 1-minus 1
    or something else?

I'm not crazy about any of them and there's nothing listed in the AP style book.

I do 1-(-1), but as long as you're consistent, it won't be a big deal.

AP does 1-(minus-1) in NFL boxes.

Better make sure you find a style you like, though, if you're going to be running Notre Dame football boxes in your paper.

Consistency is key. Pick a style and go with it.

FWIW, we do 1-(-1), or in the terms of a game I covered last week: 10-(-47)
