Foreign policy is not complicated. It's similar to personal interaction.

If someone in your real life hates you, maybe even wants to kill you, then it's YOU that has the problem. It is YOU that should acquiesce to their concerns and demands. It is YOU that should allow them to walk all over YOU.

Now this may lead to a miserable existence, for YOU and many of the people around YOU. It might even lead to a premature death. But if YOU want to be the better person, you have to be willing to take your tolerance to an early grave.
