Afghanistan Coming Unglued

Drones are more efficient.

Muslims want to wipe out The Jewish faith and they are insulted over a mistaken book burning.

 

In a quest towards better understanding, I've decided to study the koran one sheet at a time.

 

Funny how the only religion everyone on the left wants us to "respect" is the one religion that has absolutely no respect for any other religion.

They are talking about a war, the one they want to start against Iran.

 

Don't forget Cuba and North Korea, they want to start wars against them too.

That's the GOP plan to end unemployment (they certainly have proposed nothing else): forced conscription of the unemployed to fight half-a-dozen wars at the same time.

That'll solve the budget deficit too, because as we've seen, war budgeting can be kept completely off the books.

In the fullness of time it'll solve the Medicare and Social Security problems too, because at some point amidst all the multitudinous wars we'll be fighting, we'll piss off the wrong bunch of whackos, boom boom, and 30 years from now there won't be any old people or sick people left to worry about so we won't be paying out any of those benefits anyway. So all that money can be turned back to the Job Creators, who will know how to use it wisely.

 

If we truly wanted to occupy Afghanistan, we'd send another 100,000 troops in and hand Karzai a copy of the U.S. Constitution and tell him to implement it or we'd machine-gun his entire population. We haven't done that.

We've done Karzai a huge favor by getting rid of the Taliban, and yet, he shows his gratitude by not cooperating with us. Now, I understand there are considerable factions in the country that agree on absolutely nothing, but unless he wants a country with absolutely no future for the next 100 years, his best shot is to kiss our ass and let us do the dirty work for him to drag the country kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

 

And yet, society continues to evolve.

How did we accidentally burn Korans anyway? Geez.

 

Don't forget all the defense contractors (Halliburton, etc.) that benefit from major military engagements. War is good for business, or at least their business anyway.

 

Because there's a certain way the Korans are supposed to be handled and disposed of. American soldiers aren't allowed to handle the Korans because they are seen as infidels.

 

So what happened?

 

They were being used to pass messages from prisoners in a U.S. detention center and were taken out and burned to be disposed of. Some Afghans found the charred remains.

Commence rioting.
