    al-Jazeera is reporting he leaving Iran because got a great deal on an estate in Pakistan.

    I thought I read earlier he was being forced out by the mullah who actually runs the country.

    If that's the case, this strikes me as being terrible news.

    Ahmadinejad has been trying to get the army in his corner, and Khameini has his own forces under his watch.

    Another notch in Obama's belt.

    Ahmadinejad knows what we do now to those who cross the U.S. No more hopeful lobbing of cruise missiles. No more loud rolling in of tanks.

    He knew what was coming. He didn't want to get ambushed and shot in the face.

    In terms of US interests, this would be like Biff Tannen dropping out of high school when he was only there because he was working for Principal Strickland to bully the McFlys the whole time.
