His former sister-in-law is now his wife.
She is the ex-wife of Marty's ex-wife's brother. She was related to Melanie Brodeur only by marriage, not by blood.

Just checked NHLSCAP.com. The Devils have $2,143,927 of cap space remaining.

And so, Kevin Weekes it is. Thank you for the 08-09 season, Devils, we'll see you next fall.

Good site on the salary cap there. I had one for the Wings, but never found one for every team.

Some years ago--I forget when--he missed a month with a knee injury. But your point stands. The Devs have failed miserably in finding, drafting and developing a young goaltender.

NHLSCAP has every team's cap number along with player salaries. Great site.

Leafs just got a shot at a playoff spot.

Go through the goalie roster of the thirty teams. The back-ups are mostly career AHL'ers. I don't think there's legit NHL starter in the bunch.

I wonder if they try contacting the Wings. They have Jimmy Howard, who is pretty close to NHL ready. They also just drafted Thomas McCollum and they have European Stefan Liv, who's been playing in the states for a year now.

I don't think the Wings would trade any of them, but you never know, especially if the offer is right.
