Aaron Smith update

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Evil ... Thy name is Orville Redenbacher!!, Dec 14, 2008.

  1. A few weeks ago I asked if any of the Steelers fans knew what was up with Aaron Smith, who was expected to miss a game, didn;t practice all week and showed unexpectedily on Sunday ready to play (I think it was the Giants game).

Turns out his 5-year-old son has luekemia. The good news is has an 80 percent survival rate.
The bad news; the poor little guy still has togo through painful treatments, including spinal taps, once a week.

I hope everything turns out for the best.

Thanks for pointing this one out, Orville. I'll be keeping a good thought for Smith and his little boy. As the father of a 5-year-old, I don't even want to think about something like that.
