    Homer.

Rule of thumb in Idaho sports -- never bet against the Fifth District. Always bet against the Fourth and Sixth Districts. First District - losers in all things sports.

Come on Modaho, Milk Bowl is two words. The lamest thing about the Milk Bowl is the lack of free milk at the outdoor games, at least at state basketball you get tons of free lukewarm milk. Nothing like drinking chocolate milk to try and cure a hangover.

On to my picks, though I haven't really paid attention this year:
    5A
If the game was outdoors I'd go with Lake City, but it's not so I say the Highland Rams bring home the title.
    4A
Poky has to win it one of these years, right? They won't finish their destiny as the Buffalo Bills of Idaho, right? I mean, three straight losses to the Catholic Knights in the state title game, that can't happen again. So, I will go with an upset special and call it in favor of the Indians.
    3A
I just can't see the Indians defeating the Grizzlies, Fruitland in a landslide.
    2A
This won't even be close, the northern 2A teams always choke after the dispatch of the Boise-area schools. The Cougars will roll the Kubs up.
    1A Division I
Genesee is traditionally good, but so is Council. I'm thinking the Lumberjacks bring home the only District III title and beat the Bulldogs. If the Bulldogs still had Elvis as their quarterback, though, I would pick them.
    1A Division II
Carey will definitely win this game, even though Salmon River has a much better mascot name. Sorry Savages, the Panthers will beat you.

    Bishop Kelly
    Buhl
    Kamiah
    Council
    Salmon River

Sorry, but the laws of Idaho prove that three District III teams won't win titles in the same season. It is just not possible.

5A -- Lake City bringing a tidal wave of football down

4A -- Bishop Kelly is gonna crucify them

3A -- Buhl because lets face it, nothing fruity is going to get it done

2A -- Kamiah because if you look at it the way I do, they're name is pronounced KAM-ee-uh, say it fast enough and it almost sounds like "come here!!!!" and get a whoopin

1A DI -- Genessee sounds almost like Tennessee, and when did a council accomplish anything?

1A DII -- Salmon River because it can't be any harder than spawning upstream

Hate to break it to you, but in a quirk of pronunciation hijinks the fine folks there have decided to pronounce Kamiah as Kam-ee-I
