One of my favorite authors turns 100 on Tuesday. Happy birthday, Beverly Cleary!

Can't imagine what my childhood would have been like without the Quimby crew. When the movie came out, I took my niece. Well, I used my niece as an excuse to see it. I loved every single one of those books.

Thank you, Ms. Cleary, for Ramona, Beezus, Henry, Ribsy, Ralph, etc.

"The Mouse and the Motorcycle" was a prized early book when I was 7.

    Same here.

Dear Mr. Henshaw is a wonderful read. It was one of my favorites as a kid. It wasn't until recently that I found out there was a sequel, when one of my kids brought it home. Needless to say, I borrowed it for a little while.

Loved those adventures with the ping-pong ball helmut!! Not ashamed to say I read the Ramona books too.

I spent many hours reading Ramona books with my daughter when she was in elementary school. Pretty sure we read all of them.
