    I just feel so bad for The Wilpons after reading this column by Mike Lupica. The Wilpons seem like nice folks that really care about their fans.

    Most columnists would have raked them over the coals.

    The Wilpons are just very misunderstood. Of course they never meddle in baseball operations. If Jeff were running the club they'd certainly have done better than this the past several years, right?

    Reactive, not proactive.

    Sporting losers, to the core.

    Indefensible. Those lining up to buy season tickets to Citi Field are saps,
    pure and simple. Good money after bad, that.
