    In the preseason, no overtime.

    No shit.
Here's a better suggestion. Two freakin' games per team. The human body only has so many pro football games in it. No use to waste them on games that mean nothing. It ain't like any team is going to have to cut salaries or hold a charity car wash if they lose one home game.

    It'$ all about dollar$.

Keep the length of preseason for workouts, but cut the games to three or two and slash the damn prices so a guy could take his kid without having to take out a loan during the regular season.

I agree about cutting the number of preseason games. Cut it to two, fill the "evaluation time" coaches' crave with controlled scrimmages between nearby teams.

Nobody gives a shit about the current system. I really doubt it makes any significant money.

It does when owners can force fans to buy those two home preseason games as part of the season ticket package.

You'd think they could make more money if they played some games at neutral sites. Vegas, LA, etc.

There used to be six preseason games, seven for a team in the Hall of Fame game. Regular season started mid-September, 14 games. Now it's four and 16. If we go to two preseason games, does that mean 18 league games?

You think the NFL is going to CUT games?

Bingo ... and they charge FULL FUCKING PRICE for them. Biggest scam in sports.

I believe the Giants have a website where ticketholders can relist their tix for face value and people who are on the waiting list for season tickets can purchase them, so that's at least one way to help out the fans.

But it's still ridiculous to force season ticket-holders to buy those games at full price.

Yup. Lookin' at mine right now - $240 worth of tickets to games that don't count - and feelin' the pain...

The talk is cutting the preseason to three games and adding a 17th regular-season game that will be played at neutral spots around the world -- China, Japan, Europe, Canada, etc.

Vegas host an NFL preseason game? That might work. Hell, let Vegas host a week's worth of preseason games.

Of course, it might be too hot and this would mean Pacman Jones isn't allowed to play -- on or off the field.
