A Sorkin-related question, mostly for the ladies

So when Jeremy nailed that porn star, the fetching Paula Marshall, was that a lesbian sex scene? And Natalie was cute as a button and liked to get revved for the freaky with Jeremy by them watching porn together. Jeremy proved his manhood on Sports Night and he also inexplicably nailed the hot NSA chick on West Wing.
Now if you had said Malina's career is entirely because he won a poker bet with Sorkin, I would have agreed with you. The only thing missing from Studio 60 is a Malina appearance. And I'm just counting down the days until it happens.

    He'll be playing Jordan's baby.

Go back and look at the scene, the one in CJ's kitchen. Danny, on the edge of getting exasperated with her, leads her to the right decision. But there's just something about the way she plays it.

  4. I do think they softened her up when they made her COS. (And, remember, for the record, Sorkin was long gone at this point. It was Wells et. al. running the show.) Maybe they wanted her more vulnerable the higher up the food chain she went?

That's the most important point. Sorkin was no longer writing the show when the moment of "weakness" happened. And I agree with Lugs here. I don't think that is weakness at all.

  6. The Annette Benning character in The American President was very well rounded and she was a Sorkin creation.

The Jordan character on Studio 60 probably would have had a different arc if the actress did not get pregnant.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that.

If Joshua Malina comes out from between Amanda Peet's legs, I'm probably never watching this show again.

  9. I'm thinking no on this one. No wonder it didn't work out between him and Mo Dowd.

  10. Bening's character was a little too wide-eyed at the beginning and a little gooey at the end, but I take the point.
And I think you're right about the Amanda Peet role. I loved her as the Patty Hearst character in that old L&O episodes, one of McCoy's great crosses.
"How did you know the bartender's name was Willie?"

  11. Yeah, but what if the next episode's about duty?

    Ellis, they're all about duty.

(You bring the cheese, I hit it out)
