    That's my favorite song.

Get Dial-A-Song, the 20-year collection. Or "A user's guide to They Might Be Giants." Either have a good collection. I prefer Dial-A-Song.

  2. I have a couple, and most of them make me just want to throw people around in a mosh pit, which makes me happy.

"Fly From the Inside" - Shinedown

    "Polyamorous" - Breaking Benjamin

    "Riot" - Three Days Grace

"Animal I Have Become" - Three Days Grace

"(I'm Gonna Be) 500 miles" - The Proclaimers

"The Impression That I Get" - Mighty Mighty Bosstones

    "Shiny Happy People," REM
    "But Anyway," Blues Traveler
    "Elevation," U2
    "Wonderful Tonight," Eric Clapton
Second the motion on "Santa Monica," especially since I am, indeed, lonely and dreaming of the West Coast.

"I Can See Clearly Now", Johnny Nash
    "Windy", The Association

  5. I just saw TMBG in concert last month, then was pleasantly surprised when I went to the local Best Buy to pick up Here Come the 123s for my daughter and found The User's Guide to TMBG on sale for like 11 bucks.

Haven't taken it out of the car CD player yet.

And as for favorite song, that is an extremely tough call, but I am partial to The Statue Got Me High and She's An Angel.

As posted on the ringtone thread, She's An Angel is top 5 for me.

  7. And to echo what Potato Head said, anything they sing will make you smile. Not a downer in the bunch.

    A third for "Santa Monica"

Minglewood Blues and the Shakedown Street version of France by the Grateful Dead.

    Bouncing by Phish

She Blinded Me with Science, and Hyperactive by Thomas Dolby

  10. Still not a downer to me, just because of the music.

But I understand where you're coming from. :)

Seconded on 500 Miles. Catchy as hell. Have to add Tubthumping to the list on that criterion.

This song reminds me of being on a Mediterranean beach (haven't yet but one day) as the descending sun glistens and sparkles off the sea, a tall, cold mai tai in hand ...
