I was at a barbecue a couple of weekends ago and this guy was talking about he and a buddy saw Dave Pirner (ex-Soul Asylum guy) at a bar in New Orleans...Pirner lives down there now. Anyhow, this guy's buddy was bombed and he wanted to ask Pirner what it was like to be in a relationship with Winona Ryder...finally got him out of the bar.

 

I like how, according to the article, he's in the band "Rilo Kelly."

 

Well, you knew he had to be in a band. It was just a question of "Who's that?" or "Oh yeah, him."

 

Um, yeah, but the point is the group is called "Rilo Kiley."

Not Kelly.

HOLY CRAP!

The lead singer of Rilo Kiley, whom he dated for several years, was the daughter in Troop Beverly Hills! She was also on Mr. Belvedere, Growing Pains, Baywatch and the Golden Girls!

I like the group and all, but they're all cheesy 80s sitcom rejects.



Sorry if any of the above is well known by all the music people on here. I had no idea who Rilo Kiley was until about four months ago.

 

Hell, I've never heard of Rilo Kiley or Rilo Kelly.
