A quick question on an abbreviation

    I'm quoting a coach today who said, in describing his team's inability to score runs: "That's been our m.o. all season."

    How do I abbreviate this? Is it "m.o." or "M.O." or "MO" or should I parenthetically make it modus operandi? A little help for a guy on deadline.

    I usually cap with periods.

    M.O.


    Course, you could just not use it.
