That would be truly amazing and a season to cherish. I'm of a mind that there's always one jerk in every group. I have two boys, so I coach one in odd years and the other in evens. Each year, my main hope is always that the one I'm not coaching has a team where the resident douche is not the coach.

Dear Pony League parents,

Thank you for not having a jerk among you. My son's first-ever season of coach-pitch T-ball has started well, and Little Man didn't even know (or care) if his team won or lost their first game on Tuesday.

they lost...13-4.

But Little Man hugged a player from the opposing team as he crossed home plate, scoring on an inside-the-park homer. That earned awwwws and laughter from everyone there.
