So I get back from my Sunday night softball league to facebook rumors of a nuclear power plant near Omaha going into meltdown and that Obama ordered a media blackout and the FAA restricted airspace 2 miles from the plant.
    This is a joke, right?
Anyone out midwest-way hear any of this stuff?
Here are some links that I have seen (which I still think is hooey)

My guess is that it is in shutdown mode, it started flooding and the crazies have cooked up an Internet story.

Yeah, this is just like what happened in Japan. Except without the earthquake and tsunami...

No crap...a guy I worked with at a bar in college posted this stuff and I questioned it and a friend of his started going off about how Area 51 was denied also.

We're restricted from flying within two miles of nuke plants anyway.

Any sign of giant prehistoric lizards emerging from the Missouri River yet?

    There's conspiracy up north, too.

Copied straight from the Cheyenne VFR sectional (a map we use to navigate and plan): "FOR REASON'S OF NATIONAL WELFARE, PILOTS ARE REQUESTED TO AVOID FLIGHTS WITHIN 3 NM (NAUTICAL MILES) OF DEVIL'S TOWER NATIONAL MONUMENT."

Three miles?!! Really? National welfare? WTF? I can fly directly over top of Mt. Rushmore (which we did on our Seattle trip) at 2,000 feet, but I can't come within three nautical miles of Devil's Tower? A fucking rock?

It's not a rock. I's a nuke site. No other explanation.
