The celebrity aspect of this is sort of funny. But, we've seen lots of former athletes go into politics.

The 9/11 Truther and anti-vaccine thing puts this on another level, and is deserving of ridicule.

BTW, did Huffington Post actually "hire" Stallworth? Does anyone get "hired" by Huffington Post?

We've also seen a lot of anti-vaccine celebrities. The anti-vaccine movement is as old as vaccines themselves, and has been devoid of scientific fact for more than 200 years.

But, the truther stuff, yeah. Fuck that shit.

Honestly, the list of things on which I don't care about Stallworth's opinion is probably long enough to wrap around the Earth at least once.

Pretty sure a handful of people, like Howard Fineman, actually work for HuffPo/AOL. But you're right, most people who write/appear on that site are "special contributors."

FWIW, Stallworth said on Twitter he stopped believing the 9/11 Truther theories after reading James Bamford's book about the 9/11 investigations and intelligence failures.

I'm not sure, "I used to believe something really stupid, but no longer do," is a great intro for a new national security expert.

Does he believe he actually drove the car that killed the guy in Fla. Article doesn't say but seem to remember he served like 60 days maybe.

Kills a pedestrian while driving drunk, and then burns the shit out of himself in a hot air balloon incident. Need to stay on the couch, asshole. You're a danger to national security.
