    At first I thought the baseball connection was going to be that the Kurkjian quoted in the story was related to Tim Kurkjian.

    Herbert A. Sample might want to take a look at the link in my sig. Alexander Cartwright is not considered the "inventor" of the game -- not by any credible baseball historian, anyway.
