    Doesn't mean it's not a fair question.

Interesting that Athens uses the Ohio (which just happens to be in Athens) logo on their helmet. Co-inky-dink.

Hellz yeah. That's where I found the directions to the stadium I visited last Friday evening.

Thanks again, shot. I've been thinking about putting together a piece on local-interest sports Web sites; if I write it, this one definitely gets a mention.

Those aerial shots gave me some good news: It's about damn time my alma mater got a real, honest-to-God track and took out that cinder embarrassment.

Not only was it cinder, but it wasn't the standard size - it took more than a lap for a 400-meter race. Thank God that thing is gone.

    Amazing

My only complaint is that we cannot (at least I cannot figure it out) to post a helmet on here.

    I'm still scared of Aliquippa.

One of my first gamers in Western Pa was at Farrell High School, and I noticed that they were called the Steelers. I mentioned to a scorekeeper at the table that it was nice the NFL allows Farrell to use the name Steelers.

    What a rook.

"We were here first," was his reply.

That's a really cool site. Was surprised at the number of schools that use the Florida State spear or some variation of it. And it's a shame to see that awful Pitt Panther logo still in use somewhere.

A few of the best-conceived, to me. Ones which don't look like they copied from others.

    Reduce, reuse, recycle? :D

Did they make use of the tangerine jerseys, too?

I found it stunning just how many of the schools directly rip off NFL or college designs, or do it with changed colors.

I'd bet there are 15 versions of the Michigan helmet in the state, with various colors. (EDIT: I hit it on the nose. Fifteen of them out of 608 schools.)

If the NFL or the college licensing arm wanted to be pricks, they really could have a field day.

Is that close to Bishop Canevin? I liked their two-tone blue scheme.
