Hey, can you guys/gals help compile a list of wire services for the USA?

    The ones I know are:

    AP - AP.org
    UPI - upi.com
    Reuters US - reuters.com
    AHN - allheadlinenews.com
    MCT - mctdirect.com
    CHNI - cnhi.com
    NewsAhead - newsahead.com

Just trying to see what the options are other than AP, since that is all we use right now. A post on here about dropping AP for a week got me thinking if its viable for us as well.

Do any other wire services offer sports agate?

AHN is not a wire service. I know a few ex-employees who were told to lift AP copy and change a few words here and there to pass it off as AHN copy.

There was a lawsuit that I believe was eventually settled, so tread lightly.

UPI offers a sports agate service. I'll know a lot more about that a week from now.

Also, there's Sports Direct (sportsdirectinc.com), which offers "stories" and agaate. And, again, I'll know a lot more about them in a week.

cnhi.com is not a wire service as far as I can tell. That's the home page for their company. Which you want to stay away from.
