A horrible way to start a Monday

I accidentally trucked an opossum years ago and I still haven't forgotten even that. I remember looking in the rear-view mirror and seeing his bleeding head, a massive trauma wound.

All you can hope is that they go quickly.

Thank goodness I've never killed a dog. But I know of at least three mutts who got a snootful of my bumper and hobbled off with a healthy respect for traffic.

 

No one thought about the owner of this dog and their grief.

It's not against the law to run over a dog or to fail to stop and render aid to a dog.

It's a sad thing, but dogs should not be in the street.
