I'm going to make an audio recording of this and, on my voicemail, make a menu option that plays it for people who are calling to say, "How did you guys misspell 'wide' as 'wise' in the 22nd paragraph of this story on page 10? You know, the story about the event that ended three minutes before your deadline. Are you guys idiots or what? Do you even have editors? Maybe you should un-layoff your by-line proofreader and redaction staff. How stupid can you be?"

    That last part I threw in there because I enjoy it when non-journos feel the need to use newsroom lingo and get it so very wrong.
