Getting car serviced this morning, a woman in the waiting room noticed the Patriots logo on my shirt sleeve and got a conversation going.

SHE: So how are the Patriots this year?

ME: Not looking good.

SHE: What's their record?

ME: 2-1.

SHE: Well that's really good, right?

ME: Well, they lost their quarterback for the year.

SHE: How many games is that?

ME: Well, all of them. Sixteen.

[We talked about the injury]

SHE: Well, that's too bad. I always liked him. Jim Kelly, right? How is his son?

 

how's his son ... clutch.

 

Good thing you didn't tell the woman the QB's name. She might have asked you how Marcia, Jan and Cindy are.

 

Was she hot?
