Got this in an e-mail today, worked with Ron for a while but had lost track of him. Good guy, way too young.

    Neighbor finds city man

    dead Monday at his home

Ronald E. Jones, 42, was found dead on the front porch of his apartment, 126 S. Hamilton St., by a neighbor shortly after 7 a.m. Monday, according to Watertown police.

He had apparently collapsed there Sunday night after returning home with a bagged meal from a restaurant, police said.

Dr. James E. Willis, one of his physicians, signed a death certificate listing natural causes.

Mr. Jones, formerly of Richmond, Va., was a copy editor at the Watertown Daily Times from August 2002 until October, when he resigned due to ill health

Natural causes? At 42? That's just wrong.

    RIP.
