I agree that it's the latter, although it is an important story. That's just the ESPN way, and I don't think it'd be the same if, say, CBS had the rights (and yes I know they only cover SEC games).

I'm going to watch that 1988 game on ESPN Classic this afternoon. Seems like a fitting way to remember him.

2:15pm press conference scheduled from the hospital, per ESPN.

A couple of thoughts on ESPN's coverage:

    • When they cut in to the Detroit station's coverage, and the annoying female anchor kept interrupting the sports guy when he was trying to say something, and then she kept laughing, someone should have told her to shut the fuck up.

    • When Musburger came on, you got the impression that tomorrow will be unbearable.

    RIP, Bo.

I feel like a shit for posting this on this thread... But Michigan is still going off as a 7 point dog, as of right now.

Free Press had an article today about UM students/fans making a pilgrimage to Fielding Yost and Bob Ufer's graves to pay respects on the eve of the game.

UM students pay respects to Ufer, Yost

Yeah, that was awful. Someone should have shut off her mike. A local/national legend dies, and you're acting all cheery like you're getting ready to throw to the "Pet of the Week" or Mr. Food. It was terrible - if we wonder why people don't respect journalists, that's a good reason.

    I HATE Canada!

    ZERO coverage up here!

    Well, except the NFL Network.

It's like... and I shudder at saying this... if Ernie Harwell passed away. People like Ernie and Bo, especially around Michigan, are big-time legends who also have a following nationwide among baseball and college football fans.

If it hadn't been football season and Bo died, it still should get the same big-time play.
