Completely agree. If the game was in Ann Arbor, there would be so many distractions for the players right now.

Players get settled into the hotel and get ready for the game, instead of having everyone in Ann Arbor asking them for their reaction or their time, etc. etc.

Isn't it common practice at big-time programs to take the home team's players to a hotel the night before? Distractions may be less than you think.

So SportsCenter comes on a little before 10 p.m. PDT.

Of course they lead with Bo. I heard something familiar in the background. It was the score of the movie Armageddon.

(I know, because it was "our movie" with a college ex.)

I thought it was an odd choice of bg music for an obit.

It's also an odd choice for an "Our" movie

It probably was something really close...they do not use commercial music except in rare cases. It was probably a production library-type thing.

Also, not sure if it's been mentioned or not (I'm at work, not much time to look), but ESPN and ABC have dropped on-air references to Judgement Day.

They still were running the Judgment Day clock on the bottom of the screen for a long bit of time after the news came out.
