A buyer for the Virginia Pilot?

    Newspapers aren't in any position to get picky about who wants to buy them.

    There is something to be said for ownership by a lone tycoon with a personal agenda, as opposed to a monolithic corporation.

    If he puts money back into the paper, fine.

    Any profits he gets, though, will be directed toward his pockets. He will kill the paper as much, if not moreso, than Gannett would.

    Pat loves money.

    He certainly has more respect for it than the folks who send Pat gobs of it, willy-nilly, for no good reason.
