    Description:

Yahoo! Contributor Network is looking for freelance sportswriters to write about NFL teams on Yahoo! Sports. We are looking for expert-level contributors to "own" blog-style coverage of one team.

YCN is looking for team-specific contributors — passionate, knowledgeable contributors who can write about their favorite team.

    Successful NFL contributors:

-Have an intimate knowledge of the organization they cover and their history.

-Are prolific publishers who have their finger on the pulse of topics that diehard fans want to read.

-Are excellent self-editors who are able to follow style guidelines.

-Are active on social media and strive to build their audience.

-Have a unique writing style that is clearly identifiable and engaging to readers.

-Are able to generate topics and ideas on their own.

-Have experience writing for a Web audience.

-Live in or near the area of the team they write about.

We are currently seeking contributors for the following teams:

    Miami Dolphins

    New England Patriots

    New York Jets

    Cleveland Browns

    Pittsburgh Steelers

    Denver Broncos

    Oakland Raiders

    Philadelphia Eagles

    Washington Redskins

    Chicago Bears

    Detroit Lions

    New Orleans Saints

    San Francisco 49ers

    Seattle Seahawks

Payment is provided on a performance basis, at $1.10 per every 1,000 page views. Contributors may also qualify for occasional Upfront Payment on a per-submission basis. Only the highest-quality submissions will qualify for publication on Yahoo! Sports.

You must have a Yahoo! Contributor Network account to qualify. Use the following link to sign up and create your account. Using this link will qualify you for at least one publishing opportunity:

While it is on the wrong board, in all fairness, this was reposted on journalismjobs today. The earlier post is from November.

The dollar-a-click thing is pretty bad, but does anybody know how many views these stories usually get considering Yahoo! is the No. 1 sports site? 5,000? 50,000? That would make a big difference.

Getting paid by the click sort of encourages being fast and sloppy with breaking news.

This could never be a full-time job...but if you want to supplement your income by re-posting press releases and adding some commentary before heading into work or after you get done...I bet it would at least be worth beer money.

And it's still on the wrong board. The first clue is that it says "freelance" in the job listing.

I'd take the job, then click it about 8,000 times a day. Ask my friends to do it, too. Probably could make some good money

I'm sure the mods will take care of it, so take it easy.
