My paper's front page story is about a kid who turns 9 today.

The writer even goes as far to say there's nothing significant about him, that he's a normal 9-year-old kid.

Waste of space and resources, IMHO, but I ain't the boss.

Appropo of nothing, but someone on SportsCenter this morning also pointed out that "Wednesday" and "September" also have nine letters in them.

    So what happened on 9/9/99?

Did everyone's head explode or something? I missed it.

This makes me wax nostalgic for 1:23:45 on 6.7.89!

Everyone was freaking out over Y2K at that point.

    Even better --- 12:34:56 on 7-8-90.

If it makes you feel any better, ESPN China's SportsCenter probably didn't include that tidbit.

    Otherwise...obnoxious lack of a point.
