60 Minutes looked into the 28 redacted pages from the Joint Inquiry report.

Was the Saudi Government complicit in 9/11, and/or should the pages be declassified as some are calling from?

Yes and yes. Same as it ever was.

I know why Bush (OK Cheney) whitewashed the connection, but I'm disappointed that Obama (and HILLARY!) have kept it buried.

This isn't a great #longgame effort, BTW. Where you're going is too obvious.

I'm already burned out by the Bushes for Laura's threatened endorsement of Hillary and Jeb's incompetent presidential campaign, so if it shows W and Cheney compromised us with ties to Saudi radicals, bring it on.

This will be the least surprising surprise ever.

So we allied with a govt that did have 9/11 connections to overthrow a govt with no connection. Brilliant.

There was talk that there may have been a connection with a wealthy Saudi family in the Sarasota area (not far from the flight training school some of the attackers attended) that bolted the US two weeks before 9-11.

New 9/11 records offer tantalizing puzzle pieces

Yet they dovetail with the account of a counterintelligence source who has said investigators in 2001 found evidence — phone records and photographs of license plates snapped at the entrance to the al-Hijjis’ Sarasota-area neighborhood — that showed Mohamed Atta, other hijackers and former Broward resident and current al-Qaeda fugitive Adnan Shukrijumah had visited the al-Hijji home.

There was a time when 60 Minutes would get the docs in question and not just talk about their existence. The show seems to have become a tool of lawyers looking for a payout, book publicists and people looking to rehab their public image. A shadow of itself.

In the 1980s we allied with the mujahideen against a nation that was fighting the mujahideen.

    We're a fucking Geico commercial.

We should have known that helping those Muslims out would really piss 'em off ...

Chalk it up to another attempt at improving the system.
