9-11-14: Better or worse than 9-12-01?

    But aren't threats supposed to be enough to decide to go to war? That was one of the reasons given by Bush as to why we went into Iraq, remember? He was threatening us. He was going to put mushroom clouds over our cities, right?

    Bush wanted to get Saddam for getting his daddy. Sure Iraq was then what we wish we had now but we also thought we could make it into an American style Democracy. These prehistoric creatures haven't a clue how to run a Democracy, much less a Western one. And never will. And every time we've meddled and cut and ran, we've made things worse. Totally agreed.
    But now we have a monstrosity on our hands that threatens to destabilize the whole fucking earth over the next 20-25 years. How we deal with that may not be idealistic, but it will require action.

    Kim is an irrelevant threat to any place on earth except South Korea. Unless China goes to permanent sleep.
