I hadn't noticed the Facebook icon at the top of the page until now:

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/SportsJournalistscom/171649556222853

The top post is 2008 blog post by Jeff Pearlman on how addictive this place is.

I also enjoyed this status: Whether you're practicing on the field, or in the field of sports, your thoughts and goals is part of our team's success!

    Oy.

I hope we can talk politics there.

That's a marketing masterpiece. A quote from three years ago and a status update that triggers waves of nausea.

Of course I still "liked" it.

Is it OK if I poke Dyno and Care Bear? OK and you too, YGBFKM. I may not ever get another chance.

The last time I got poked by an SJ member, I wound up pregnant.

    No poking.

Um, that's a bit heavy for me. I'll take a paternity test if I have to!

As a goodwill gesture, we should send TSD pieces of flair

They really don't like to talk about their flair.

Great SEO. Must be part of the selling out that comes with new owners.

“There is a website called sportsjournalists.com. It’s a place where, more or less, sports journalists can go and anonymously talk about the industry; gossip about other writers; bemoan the plight of our profession... For many of us, it serves as a release. Hate your boss? Go to sportsjournalists.com and blast him/her. Think someone is overrated? Say it! Say it! Say it!”

I never joined the "top secret" FB group, and I won't like this page either. It's just ... weird.
