80s movies tripleheader on TCM tonight (24 July 2009)

Karate Kid, 8 p.m.
WarGames, 10:15 p.m.
Stand by Me, 12:15 a.m.

All times Eastern; you're smart enough to figure out the difference. Who's bringing the Now and Laters, Raisenets and Twizzler? Or should we just have pizza?

 

What, no Sixteen Candles? I must protest!

 

Not to completely threadjack this one, but what movie on that list would you replace and what would you put in its place? The type of movie would have to remain the same for the slot you replaced.
That being said, I'd have to throw in Red Dawn instead of War Games.

Nah, I liked WarGames better.

 

I think I'd have to lighten the mood a little and take out WarGames and insert Ferris Bueller.

Though, Red Dawn for WarGames works for me also.

 

Same here. I wouldn't mind seeing Fletch in there since I watched it more than any other film during high school.

 

If they showed Karate Kid, Ferris and Fletch all in a row I would have a huge dent in my couch.

I can watch KK and Ferris anytime I want though.

 

Instead of Red Dawn, i'd rather have The Outsiders

I'd piss on a spark plug if I thought it would keep WarGames from being removed from the list.

 

I think Weird Science works the best in exchange for Stand By Me for the outsider becoming "cool" and getting the girl trifecta.
Take out Karate Kid and throw in The Goonies for a Pacific Northwest trio.
Take out War Games and add "Cobra" for the Cobra triple-header.
