Let's cut to the chase: How is this the fault of the Blue Eyed Devil?

I admit to not knowing the quirks of Alabama law or procedure - so this may be the right thing to do - but charging an 8 year old just doesn't sit right with me.

The line about it going through family court gives me some hope that maybe the charge is necessary to move the kid into therapeutic foster care of some kind. I hope it's not an actual juvenile justice type case geared toward sending him off to a boys school.

Would think wherever he ends up would be better than with a p.o.s who leaves an 8-year-old in charge of six kids.

Juvenile jails are pretty universally awful. I suspect Alabama's are no better than the rest. They're pretty much a breeding ground for a future life of crime.

I'd like to think there's still hope at reforming an 8-year-old.
