    I recently wore a bow tie for a work-related event, but I didn't have to tie it.

    And, I'm sorry, but bacon should not be cooked in a microwave. More power to you if you like it, but I'll be throwing mine in a pan on the stove.

    Any industry in which a bow tie can be called a necessity is clearly weighed down by its own pretentiousness.
