Where's the best place to work near Atlanta/Charlotte/Winston-Salem?

I'm graduating from college in May and was just curious where would be the best place to start working near Atlanta, or some of the larger NC cities like Charlotte or Winston-Salem.

    Thanks!

In other words, none of 'em.

Not that any of those hire fresh-out-of-college writers and deskers, even before the Hindenburg exploded.

xswriter, is it too late for you to change majors or consider grad school?

My best advice to you is to start drinking early...

And to go back to grad school and major in a field that isn't collapsing.

Not trying to be a jerk, but isn't this on the wrong board? I thought this one was for specific openings only.

    There are openings in journalism?

It's not the first post in here that shouldn't be and it won't be the last. A mod will move it eventually.

    edit: Thanks, Gutter.

A farm somewhere would be nice.

I can't speak of Atlanta, but there are a few good colleges and universities in Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Raleigh areas. Check out what they all offer as far as grad school is concerned.

If you really want to get into the business there are still some small papers doing OK. Statesville, Hickory and Concord are all smaller papers near Winston-Salem and Charlotte. The drawback is they are Media General and likely feeling the pinch because of the trouble in Tampa and other places.
