Best news yet this season about the Minnesota Vikings not named Adrian Peterson ...

Should this be a separate thread or is there a thread to start talking about NFL week 3 yet?

... it actually makes me wonder if Daunte Culpepper hasn't been called out of retirement by Childress.

If Gus can make the bare minimum throws to keep defenses some kind of honest, it will be a huge upgrade for the Vikings.

Unfortunately, with their upcoming schedule, they needed to win at least one of the first two.

But so long as they have that defense and All Day, they'll be tough to beat.

You've still got a better QB than the Bears.

It worked for the 2000 Ravens, but that was a rare case.

If you're trying to win a championship without at least a very good quarterback, good luck. It can be done, but the odds are very much against you.

I don't think the Vikes can win the division at all. They're already two games behind the Packers.

But Gus gives them a better chance to win on Sunday.

Shouldn't the Vikings have had a better backup knowing they were going with Jackson at QB this season?

Daunte Culpepper will not quarterback the Vikings as long as Childress is the Vikings head coach. Childress is why Culpepper left the team.

Frerotte did a decent job for the Vikings before as a starter, but until Childress gets a clue about play-calling, this change isn't that huge a deal.
