    Watching this video feed is almost as captivating as watching "The Door."

    On television, the broadcaster said the balloon will come down when air is released or when it gets colder. I don't understand what the temperature has to do with it, but he will come down tonight.

    Air compresses when it gets colder. Because the balloon is a contained volume, this reduces the pressure inside it. Less pressure, less loft. You can see the same thing at home if you take a balloon from inside to outside on a cold day. Instantly shrinks down.
